"I'm convinced that tragedy wants to harden us and our mission is to never let it."

Another holiday, another horrible loss has hit my hometown. In a few days the whole town will return to their families and loved ones for the holidays, and once again, we will all mourn the loss of our friends. MD & DS, you both had such large impacts on the lives of many. Your deaths are unexpected, unexplainable, and going to be very difficult to cope with at home. At the very least, we will be able to mourn the tragedy together with our town. At the very least, we have each other to lean on for support, and remind ourselves, once again, how short life is.

We are too young to have experienced so many losses of our peers. We must be strong, setting an example for Pleasanton and the families suffering loss closest to heart. God has a divine plan for us all. Michel I believe your loving personality warmed us all and helped us enjoy each moment. Your smile lit up the room, and I was lucky to grow up down the street from you. Dan, you were truly one of a kind. You always came up with the most bizarre stories that could entertain your friends for hours. Thanks for all the laughs, you'll never be forgotten.

In the darkest days, our faith must shine through with its brightest light. Don't hide in the darkness, remember that we are all in the World together. We have God to thank for the life we have, and faith reminds us that life is happening as it should.

"Where does time go now on a wake for young souls?
Another lullaby go sing ooh ooh ooh ooh"
